Creating Qualitative Research Projects
ASGE 7731 teaches students how to structure qualitative research studies. They learn how to develop research questions, proper study methods, and sample strategies. In addition, students learn how to perform literature reviews, design research proposals, and create tools for gathering information including interview guides and observational protocols.
Qualitative Data Collection and Analysis
ASGE 7731 introduces students to a variety of data gathering and analysis procedures employed in qualitative research. Students gain experience conducting extensive interviews, target discussion groups, and observations. Furthermore, they also learn how to use computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS) to transcribe, code, and analyze qualitative data.
Ethical Issues in Qualitative Research
ASGE 7731 discusses ethical issues in qualitative research. Students learn about concerns such as informed consent, security, anonymity, and privacy. They will also learn how to deal with ethical quandaries that may occur throughout the research process.
